    Lim Cheok Siang Jimmy Any YDP of any Council who dares do what you proposed, ie a moratorium to stop all developments on the Island (see I am fair. PW can have all the developments they want. And why not? Let it be another Klang Valley), will be sacked by the State Government. Cannot expect these professional officials in public service to do that. They can only act if and when the Public object strongly. Public protests on non-green and environmentally friendly developments will draw a lot of attention. This was what the Australians did back in the 1970s in Sydney. All started by a Leader of the Building Workers Union Chief.......a great man......Jack Munday. He was eventually conferred an Honorary Degree by the University of New South Wales for his single-handed effort to preserve Australian heritage. With his effort conservation and Heritage came to the forefront in Australia. The rest is history.

    Peter Wong ‎Lim Cheok Siang Jimmy what I am saying is that on land which the owners illegally demolish building, application for planning permission to develop the piece of land should be frozen for a period, five or ten years . This will be a deterrent against illegal demolition. Especially to Heritage buildings.

    Lim Cheok Siang Jimmy I think we have to pause..........to evaluate the direction development on the Island is going. There is no harm at al to pause.....take a breather!!! Chong Eu did alot of damage to the Island and GT, and so did Tsu Koon. There is a chance for LGE to correct all the wrongs. Will he? Can he? Must he? Does he know how? These are the burning issues associated to Bersih 1&2. Can we have Bersih 3?

    Peter Wong what LGE has done so far is increase density to 87 units per acre, gave SP Setia an extra 1500 units above allowable density. Bravo ??

    Lim Cheok Siang Jimmy Exactly. So what does the symptoms forecast? Penang will be 'lelong' to anyone who is a fan and supporter of Come And Take (CAT). Hope many of the many old "warriors" and "heroes" from the Friends of Penang Hills day are still kicking and not already neutralised......oops!
