      Seems like the guys developing V Residences@Gurney are also behind 11 Brook Residences along Jalan Brook. How could the MPPP give demolition consent for this pre-war heritage bungalow and building consent for 11 new gated and guarded bungalows in its place?

    • Rebecca Wilkinson This is happening all over Penang right now...& MPPP seems to have its head just buried in the sand instead of dealing with the issues. It seems that they do not have the desire and are overwhelmed by what is going on. State is the same and although they come out for the odd press conference & mumble what we want to hear, in effect, they are allowing a 2nd rate civil service to thrive.

    • Rebecca Wilkinson I think PHT needs the 'little people' too Yan. In the end something like a petition needs to be signed with actual names in order for PHT to put this forward. PHT has been working like mad on getting this out and MPPP & State have had many letters, visits, meetings with PHT but unless the neighbourhood & public comes together to totally object, the politics behind everything doesn't listen. Yan, can you please join PHT and start some action? I'll be right there with you if you do this! Look at all the noise created over KLS- Jimmy & so many people on this forum including PHT members worked so hard- and still, the site continues its work of clearing the area.....MPPP & State have failed to act. How do we get them to act? Threatening them with a 'no vote'? Then...who do we vote for?

    • Yan Lee all this different projects, what i am trying to say is that some1 needs to take the lead and coordinate all the neighbourhood. PHT seems to me a good vehicle. I have been fighting to stop illegal demolition !!
